A new shed arrives as a pile of panels, a bag of fixings and a manual that assumes you have two spare days and a second pair of hands. Armagh Handyman Services takes that job off you. Niall builds timber, metal and plastic sheds across Armagh city and the wider county, from compact tool stores to large apex workshops.
The difference between a shed that lasts and one that leaks is mostly in the first hour: a level base, square framing and a properly fitted roof. Every shed is assembled to the manufacturer's instructions, checked for square before the roof goes on, and left tidy with the packaging cleared away.
What's included
- Assembly of timber (overlap, shiplap and tongue-and-groove) sheds
- Metal and plastic/resin shed assembly
- Checking your base is level, or advising on a suitable base before the build
- Fitting roof felt, shingles or roof sheets as supplied
- Hanging doors, fitting hinges, hasps and locks
- Fitting windows, glazing and trims
- Optional wood treatment for timber sheds (if you supply the treatment or ask us to)
- Removing and taking away the packaging
How it works
- Phone or text Niall with the make, model and size of your shed.
- Niall confirms the base is suitable and gives you a free, fixed quote.
- On the day, the shed is built, squared and weatherproofed to the manufacturer's instructions.
- You get a walk-round, keys and a tidy garden.
Getting the base right
Most shed problems come from the base. A shed sat on uneven slabs or bare ground will twist over time, doors stop closing and water gets in. If you are not sure your base is suitable, mention it when you call and Niall can advise whether a slab, timber frame or plastic grid base will suit your garden and the size of shed.
Why choose a local Armagh handyman?
Armagh Handyman Services is run by Niall, based at Drumman Heights in Armagh. Because we're local, travel times are short, it's easy to arrange a visit that suits you and, if anything needs looking at afterwards, we're not far away. We rely on word of mouth around Armagh, so every job is done carefully and the work area is left tidy.
You'll deal with the same person from the first phone call to the finished job — no call centres and no hand-offs. Quotes are free and clear, and if a job is better suited to a specialist trade we'll tell you honestly. Larger electrical and all gas work is always referred to qualified, registered trades.
Quotes and booking
Every shed assembly job is quoted free of charge before any work starts, so you know exactly where you stand. The easiest way is to call Niall on 077 3909 9584; if he's on a job, send a text and he'll get back to you. Photos or a product link help with an accurate quote, and if you have other small jobs, mention them too — they can often be done on the same visit.
